International Centre for Ultrafast Studies (ICUS)International Centre for Ultrafast Studies (ICUS) is a dedicated Laser Research and Technology platform at Mahatma Gandhi University established in July 2023, that focuses on various disciplines ranging from the fundamentals of diverse ultrafast processes in organic/inorganic systems, plasma physics, material science, bio/medical physics, optical imaging, radiation processes and medical physics, basics of pump-probe spectroscopy and fluorescence up- conversion. Its mission is to perform multidisciplinary research in the basic sciences and technological applications of ultrashort laser pulses. The ICUS is envisaged to act as a nodal centre to meet India’s future requisites in the areas of Photonics, Energy, Communication and Healthcare. |
Dr. N Radhakrishnan International Centre for Medical InnovationEstablished at the Business Innovation and Incubation Centre (BIIC) of Mahatma Gandhi University in May 2023, Dr. N. Radhakrishnan International Centre for Medical Innovation (NRICMI) aims to develop new medical technologies, treatments, drugs, and therapies by collaborating with Dr. N. Radhakrishnan Foundation for research on venous diseases. The centre aims to promote innovation in medical practices, technologies, and processes on medical and molecular research in connection with other R&D institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and healthcare providers to conduct studies and clinical trials so as to facilitate the transfer of scientific knowledge and cutting-edge technologies from the laboratory to clinical settings, aiming to improve patient care and healthcare delivery. The centre also aims to provide training programmes and educational opportunities for healthcare professionals, researchers, and students to enhance skills, disseminate research findings, and cultivate a new generation of innovators in the medical field. Prof. Dr. N Radhakrishnan is the Medical Director of St. Thomas Institute of Research on Venous Diseases, the exclusive centre for advanced research in the field of Phlebolymphology (Study Of Veins & Lymphatics) , offering innovative treatment at par with international standards for diseases associated with the venous system. |
