The Inter Collegiate Youth Festivals are organized by the University Union annually to promote art and cultural talent among the students. It also aims to encourage friendship and fellowship among young artists by giving them an opportunity to display their talents on a common platform. The date and venue of the festival is fixed by the Union in consultation with the Vice-Chancellor. There is a Steering cum Appellate Committee (SAC) to supervise and control the conduct of the programme.
Every year the Department of Student Services co-ordinates the University team to participate in the South Zone and National Inter University Youth Festivals conducted under the auspicious of Association of Indian Universities. The University won overall championships in the South Zone lnter University Youth Festivals in 1991-92, 1992-93, 1994-95, 1996-97, 1999-2000, 2001-02, 2004-05, and 2006-07. We were also the overall champions in National Inter University Youth Festival in 1992-93, 1996-97 and runners up in 1991-92.
