Advanced Centre of Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development

    The Advanced Centre of Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development (ACESSD), established in 2009, under the School of Environmental Sciences is an inter university centre devoted to the integration of Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development. It has been envisioned as a common centre where all areas of Science, Social Science and Humanities meet to support the conduct of inter-disciplinary programmes. The Centre has taken up initiatives under Academic, Research and Extension programmes.                                                                                                                               

 

Inter University Centre for Disability Studies

The Inter University Centre for Disability Studies (IUCDS) ,Mahatma Gandhi University , established in 2010, is designed to be a hub of academic research and outreach activities. Through its extension centre Disability Rehabilitation Early Assessment and Management Services (DREAMS), IUCDS provides Early Intervention and Rehabilitation services. It strives to create a comprehensive approach to the entire rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.                                                                                              

 

Inter University Centre for Social Science Research and Extensions

  The Inter University Centre for Social Science Research and Extension (IUCSSRE) was  launched  in 2010. It is envisioned as an independent institution for advanced studies, a platform for the convergence of interdisciplinary disciplines. IUCSSRE attempts to develop a critical awareness among students in order to empower them to comprehend social realities. It adheres to long-term requirements such as ecological sustainability and community improvement.                                                                                    

 

Inter University Instrumentation Centre

The Inter University Instrumentation Centre (IUIC) was established in 2011 to support the research communities by undertaking advanced level research in various interdisciplinary areas. The centre caters to improve the University’s technological infrastructure through the collaborative work of its academic community, assist the University Departments/Centres and affiliated colleges with instrument maintenance and run training programmes .The centre offers facilities for researchers, students and industries that require highly sophisticated analytical instruments for chemical, atomic and spectral analysis of materials.                                                                                      

 

Inter University Centre for Biomedical Research & Super Speciality Hospital

Mahatma Gandhi University established an Inter University Centre for Biomedical Research and Super Speciality Hospital (IUCBR & SSH) in 2015, with the primary objective to develop high-end teaching and training in post graduate, post-doctoral and post-super-speciality medical education in identified branches of healthcare sector, specifically pertinent to Kerala. The centre makes considerable effort to conduct translatable research and convert scientific discoveries into precise diagnostic tools and life-saving treatments for patients. 

 

Inter University Centre for Studies in Science of Music

The Inter University Centre for Studies in Science of Music (IUCSSM) of Mahatma Gandhi University aims to conduct research in music which includes its fundamental structure, its impact on biological, emotional and psychological effect on humans and its potential for healing and transformation.The centre caters to collaborate with international organisations in the field of ‘Science of Music’ and to promote novel concepts in the fields of science, technology and aesthetics related to music.

Inter University Centre for Organic farming and Sustainable Agriculture

Established in 2016, the Inter University Centre for Organic Farming and Sustainable Agriculture (IUCOFSA) envisions to promote interdisciplinary research in organic farming and conservation of traditional knowledge, through effective networking and innovative extension activities among the public to safeguard ecological sustainability and a stable world order. The centre promotes an ecological production management system that enhances biodiversity, biological cycles and soil biological activity. It focuses on management techniques that restore, maintain and improve the ecological equilibrium.
