Mahatma Gandhi University now accepts RTI applications online through its dedicated RTI Portal. Applicants can conveniently submit their Right to Information (RTI) requests digitally, ensuring greater transparency and ease of access.
Submit Request
Citizens can seek information regarding the activities of Mahatma Gandhi University by submitting a written request with details like Name, address, contact telephone number and particulars of the information sought.The reason for seeking information need not be given. The duly signed request may be addressed to the Public Information Officer, Mahatma Gandhi University, P.D Hills, Kottayam-686 560 along with the required fee of Rs.10/-.
Copies of documents will be charged according to the rate fixed by the University.If the reply is not received in time or if the information is not given, you can tender appeal to the First Appellate Authority, Mahatma Gandhi University
Remittance of RTI Fee (Direct applications)
- The Fee shall be paid in (DD in f/o. FO, Postal Order, Pay in Slip from Friends Jenasevana Kendra etc are permitted. Cheque and Court Fee Stamp are not permitted) or through mgu-epay site
- While furnishing copies through RTI applications, fee shall be remitted in accordance with the order number, 156023/AD A3/4/2024 dated 21.12.2021, which has been implemented at Mahatma Gandhi University in line with the Government Order No. GO(P)No.30/2021/GAD dated 28.10.2021.
- Fees for services rendered shall be paid as specified by the University in UO number 2978/ACA1/2024 dated 02.04.2024.
