Every year on 15 July, the world celebrates World Youth Skills Day, highlighting the importance of equipping young people with the skills they need to succeed in employment, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning.
This year’s theme, “Skills for a Shared Future,” underscores the need for future-ready skills in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital technologies, sustainability, innovation, communication, and leadership.
At the Directorate of Applied Short-Term Programmes (DASP), Mahatma Gandhi University, we are committed to empowering learners with these essential skills and preparing them for an evolving world. Our short-term programmes are designed to address the changing needs of learners by providing practical knowledge, industry-aligned skills, and the confidence to succeed in a dynamic professional environment.
The programmes span diverse fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Logistics, Digital Marketing, Food Technology, Nanotechnology, Accounting, Web Technologies, Waste Management, and more. Successful completion of a DASP programme awards learners a certificate from a NAAC-accredited university, adding recognised academic value and credibility to their achievements.
Supported by experienced faculty members and industry experts, each programme is carefully designed to strengthen competencies in emerging disciplines, professional development, communication, leadership, digital technologies, and other specialised areas.
