CPR Training Programme Organised at Mahatma Gandhi University

A free CPR training programme was jointly organised under the auspices of Mahatma Gandhi University and Mary Queen’s Mission Hospital, Kanjirappally. The event was held as part of the Union Government’s Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) – PAIR Project. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) D. The Vice Chancellor remarked that the “Golden Hour” is critical in any emergency situation. Timely intervention can help resolve many issues. He added that in an era where heart attacks are being observed even among school children due to lifestyle diseases, everyone must have an understanding of CPR and emergency care.

Fr. Martin M., CEO and Director of Mary Queen’s Mission Hospital, attended the programme. Hospital staff members Ajo Jose, Soni Sebastian, Kiran Kamal, and Surya Elizabeth John led the CPR training.

Prof. (Dr.) E.K. Radhakrishnan, Professor at the School of Biosciences and Principal Investigator of the ANRF-PAIR Project; Dr. Chandana C., Research Associate; and Dr. Jikson K. John from the University Health Centre attended the ceremony.

Subsequently, a training programme was also conducted at the Senate Hall.
