Overview

Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Kottayam, has been granted the prestigious ANRF–PAIR (Partnerships for Accelerated Innovation and Research) programme, a flagship initiative of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India. The project is being implemented in collaboration with the University of Hyderabad, the Hub institution under this consortium and MGU as the spoke institution.

“AI-integrated risk factor prediction, biomarker development and advanced theragnostic forfatty liver and diabetes”

 

ANRF-PAIR Programme
The Partnerships for Accelerated Innovation and Research (PAIR) programme of ANRF is a flagship, mentorship-driven initiative designed to enhance research capacity in Indian higher education institutions.
The programme follows a “Hub-and-Spoke” model, wherein well-established, research-intensive institutions (Hubs) mentor and support emerging universities (Spokes).

 

The PAIR programme aims to:
Build and strengthen research capacity and infrastructure in universities
Promote interdisciplinary and translational research
Foster innovation and entrepreneurship
Create sustainable and collaborative research ecosystems across regions

 

Major thematic areas under the UoH-led PAIR initiative include:
Metabolic diseases
Cancer research
Infectious diseases
Interdisciplinary and translational health technologies
