K.N. Gopinath, Chairman of the Kerala Institute of Labour and Employment (KILE), emphasised the importance of scientific research in effectively utilising labour resources. Speaking at the inauguration of a workshop organised by KILE in collaboration with the Centre for Migration Policy and Inclusive Governance (CMPIG) at Mahatma Gandhi University, he urged young researchers to concentrate their studies on this vital area.

The workshop, held at the School of International Relations and Politics, Mahatma Gandhi University, was chaired by Vice Chancellor Dr. C.T. Aravindakumar. The event featured contributions from Dr. M.V. Bijulal, Rahul V. Kumar, Dr. M. Rafika Biwi, Sunil Thomas, J.S. Arija, and Nawaz M. Khader.
