Redefining WasteManagemnt: MGU Green Lab Products To Market

In a significant move towards sustainable development, Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) has initiated the marketing of eco-friendly products by integrating waste management, agriculture, and entrepreneurship. The initiative is being spearheaded by MGU Green Lab, the value-addition wing of the University’s green protocol implentation project, Nirmalam–MGU.

The brochure regarding the same was released by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. C. T. Aravindakumar at a simple function held in his chamber. Dr. Mahesh Mohan, Director of the School of Environmental Sciences and students of the Graduate School were also present.

Implemented under the scientific guidance and supervision of the School of Environmental Sciences, the project focuses on developing premium-quality green products using carefully selected raw materials blended in precise proportions. The initiative aims to promote environmentally responsible practices while ensuring product quality and sustainability.

A WhatsApp store and an online sales platform, exclusively for the university community, are currently operational. With a strong emphasis on innovation in product development and diversified marketing strategies, MGU Green Lab is emerging as a model initiative in the field of green entrepreneurship.
