Prof. Sabu Thomas, Dr. Sreekala and Dr. Radhakrishnan again in Stanford ranking

Prof. Sabu Thomas, former Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, and Dr.M.S.Sreekala and Dr.E.K.Radhakrishnan, University faculty members, have retained their prestigious positions among the world’s top 2% scientists in the 2024 list compiled by Stanford University ,USA and Elsevier, Netherlands. This esteemed recognition is based on the criteria evaluating the quality and impact of their research publications and theses.

Renowned for his pioneering work in Polymer Science, Nanoscience, and Nanotechnology, Prof. Sabu Thomas has achieved the distinction of being listed among the world’s top 2% scientists for the fifth consecutive year. Currently, he serves as the Director of Mahatma Gandhi University’s School of Energy Materials, School of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and International and Inter University Centre for  Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

Dr. M.S. Sreekala, Associate Professor at the School of Chemical Sciences and Director of the School of Polymer Science and Technology, has been honoured with this prestigious recognition for the fourth consecutive year. Her  research in polymer composites, nanogenerators, tissue engineering, and solar cell compounds has garnered significant attention and acclaim.

Dr. E.K. Radhakrishnan, Associate Professor at the School of Biosciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, has achieved this feat for the third time in a row.  A renowned expert in bio-innovation and start-up ecosystem development, Dr. Radhakrishnan serves as Director of the Business Innovation and Incubation Centre. His research focuses on critical areas, including antibiotic resistance of pathogens, potential uses of natural polymers, manufacturing of value-added products from organic waste, and genetic causes of varicose veins.
