Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala has earned national acclaim as its online course “ICT Skills in Education” was honored with the prestigious title of Outstanding MOOC by the Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC), an Inter University Centre under the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The recognition highlights the course’s exceptional quality and impact, distinguishing it as the top-performing CEC MOOC on the SWAYAM portal during the July–December 2025 semester. The award also celebrates the dedication of course coordinator Dr. Ismail Thamarasseri, whose leadership and academic vision have been instrumental in shaping the program’s success.
This achievement underscores MGU’s growing reputation in the field of digital learning and innovation, reaffirming its commitment to empowering educators and learners with ICT skills.
