In preparation for the commencement of the Honours Degree Programmes (MGU-UGP) at Mahatma Gandhi University, set to commence on July 1, the Higher Education Minister, Dr. R. Bindu will interact with principals of affiliated colleges on May 30. MGU-UGP nodal officers of the colleges will also participate in the programme scheduled to take place at 10 am at the BCM College Auditorium in Kottayam.
During this meeting, the preparations made by the colleges for the Honours degree programmes will be evaluated, and further actions will be suggested to ensure a smooth commencement of the programmes. Dr. Beena Mathew who is in charge of the Vice Chancellor, will preside over the function and Dr. Biju Pushpan, Syndicate Member and Convenor of the Executive Committee of Graduate Honours Programmes, will explain the University level activities related to the programmes.
Syndicate members Adv. Reji Zachariah and Dr. S. Shajila Beevi, Registrar Dr. K. Jayachandran, Controller of Examinations Dr. C.M Sreejit, and B.C.M. College Principal, Dr. Stephy Thomas will participate. Research Officers from the Kerala Higher Education Reforms Implementation Cell, Dr. K. Sudheendran and Dr. V. Shafeeque, will lead the orientation class.
