MGU student receives Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship

Ms. Reshma C. S., an M.Tech Energy Science and Technology student at the School of Energy Materials, Mahatma Gandhi University, has been awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship (QES) by the Government of Canada.

As part of the scholarship, Ms. Reshma will undertake a one year research programme at Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada, from January 15, 2027 to January 14, 2028. Her research project, titled “MXene/Polymer Nanocomposite Electrodes for High-Performance Zinc-Ion Hybrid Supercapacitors,” focuses on advanced materials and electrochemical energy storage technologies.

The scholarship provides her with an opportunity to pursue advanced research at an international institution, gain exposure to global research practices and contribute to emerging research in energy storage technologies.

Established in 2020, the School of Energy Materials at Mahatma Gandhi University is dedicated to interdisciplinary education and research in energy science and technology. Its academic and research activities cover areas including energy materials, energy conversion and storage, nanomaterials, renewable energy and advanced materials.
