In the women’s basketball final held at Jaipur, the university clinched the championship title by defeating SRM University, Chennai, with a score of 74–60. Akshaya Philip was the top scorer for MG University with 17 points.

The team had reached the final after defeating Christ University, Bengaluru, in the semifinal.Earlier, MG University secured two gold medals in athletics. Alina T. Saji won gold in the women’s triple jump, while Shinto Mon C. B. claimed gold in the men’s 110 m hurdles—both setting meet records.

The university also earned a silver medal in the men’s 4×100 m relay. In women’s discus throw, Akhila Raju won bronze, and MG bagged another bronze medal in the men’s football event.
