The Korea Centre at the School of International Relations and Politics (SIRP), Mahatma Gandhi University, supported by the Korea Foundation, Republic of Korea, organised an international conference on March 14, 2024, titled “Celebrating 50 Years of India-Republic of Korea Relations: Opportunities and Challenges in the Indo-Pacific Era”.
Dr. C.T Aravindakumar, the Vice Chancellor, inaugurated the conference. The keynote address was delivered by Kim Chang-Nyun, the South Korean Consul General in Chennai. Prof. K.M. Seethi, Director of the Inter University Centre for Social Science Research and Extension and Prof. A.M Thomas, former Director of SIRP, presided over different sessions of the conference.
