Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan has been appointed as the Registrar of Mahatma Gandhi University. She holds multiple roles, including Head of the School of Indian Legal Thought and the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension, as well as Director of Research at MGU.
Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan’s academic journey has been marked by numerous distinguished roles at Mahatma Gandhi University, including serving as a Syndicate Member and Dean, Faculty of Law, at the School of Indian Legal Thought. Her esteemed career has also encompassed positions such as Member of the NUALS Academic Council, Head of the Department of Legal Studies at Kerala University, and a teaching faculty at Kannur University.
Additionally, Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan has been selected for the US Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ International Visitor Leadership Programme. She was appointed Registrar, succeeding Dr. Prakash Kumar, whose term has concluded. During the interim period, Dr. K. Jayachandran, Professor of the School of Biosciences had served in this role.
