
In the latest rankings released by SciRank Global, an international research ranking organization, 16 faculty members, one senior scientist and two research scholars from Mahatma Gandhi University departments have recognized among the world’s top 5% scientists.This achievement further strengthens Mahatma Gandhi University’s reputation for research excellence and global academic impact.
The honourees include Prof. Sabu Thomas, Prof. G. Anilkumar, Prof. Beena Mathew, Prof. Suresh Mathew, Dr. Dity Dixon, and Dr. Krishnan Kartha Kalathil from the School of Chemical Sciences; Prof. Radhakrishnan E.K., Prof. Jyothis Mathew, Prof. Jisha M.S., and Dr. Divya K. from the School of Biosciences; Prof. Nandakumar Kalarikkal, Prof. Cyriac Joseph, and Prof. Biju P.R. from the School of Pure and Applied Physics; Dr. Sreekala M.S. and Dr. Sharel Rebello from the School of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology; Prof. C.T. Aravindakumar and Dr. Sibu Simon from the School of Environmental Sciences; Prof. K.P. Mohanakumar from the Inter University Centre for Biomedical Research.
SciRank Global compiled the rankings by analysing around eight million researcher profiles from OpenAlex, the world’s largest open-source research database. Researchers with at least 10 published papers were considered, with weightage given to research output and impact.
This recognition follows Mahatma Gandhi University’s recent ranking as the highest-ranked university in Kerala in the Times Higher Education Global Rankings.
