Mahatma Gandhi University has implemented the Kerala Right to Public Services Act, 2025, marking a significant step towards strengthening transparent, accountable and time bound delivery of public services in higher education.
The University has notified a comprehensive Right to Public Services List, providing applicants with clear information on the services available, the documents to be submitted, the time within which each service is to be delivered and the authorities responsible for ensuring its delivery.
The initiative provides a defined institutional framework for the timely delivery of university services and strengthens accountability at different levels of administration. It also provides an established appellate mechanism for applicants in cases where a service is not delivered within the prescribed time limit.
With this initiative, Mahatma Gandhi University has taken a pioneering step in bringing the principles of time bound service delivery, transparency and administrative accountability into university governance.
