International Conference on Hybrid Materials at MG University

The International and Inter-University Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (IIUCNN) of Mahatma Gandhi University will host a three-day international conference titled “World Conference on Hybrid Materials: Micro and Nano Length Scales (WCHM-2026)” from March 13 to 15.

The conference will be jointly inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Prof.Dr.C.T. Aravinda Kumar and Mr. M. Vasanthagesan, Executive Director of the Rubber Board, who will also deliver the keynote address.

The conference will focus on recent developments in polymers, composites, nanocomposites and biocomposites related to hybrid materials at micro- and nano-length scales.

More than 150 delegates from different parts of the world are expected to participate in the event. The conference aims to bring together researchers from diverse scientific disciplines to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and to share the latest research and technological advancements in the field of advanced materials.

The scientific sessions will cover a wide range of topics including synthesis and characterisation of hybrid materials, polymer matrix micro- and nano-hybrid composites, metal matrix composites, ceramic matrix composites, bio-based hybrid composites, semiconductor hybrid materials, interphases and interfaces, theory, modelling and simulation, device fabrication, emerging technologies and the societal and ethical implications of new technologies.

The programme will feature keynote lectures, plenary sessions, invited talks, contributed lectures, poster presentations and panel discussions focusing on various aspects of hybrid materials and polymer composites. An international jury will evaluate the poster presentations and short invited lectures. Awards for the best short invited lecture and best poster presentation will be sponsored by Springer Nature and the Royal Society of Chemistry, London. Winners will receive journal awards and opportunities for publications indexed in the Scopus database.

The conference will also include panel discussions and brainstorming sessions aimed at exploring national and international funding opportunities and strengthening collaborative research frameworks and joint projects among participating countries.
