Minister for Co-operation and Devaswom V.N.Vasavan stated that the ongoing infrastructure development projects at Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) will enhance the University’s growth momentum. He was inaugurating a new high mast lamp installed near the main gate of the University. It is a source of pride for the entire state that MGU continuously maintains excellence in national and international rankings. Upon the completion of the existing projects, which are at various stages of construction, MGU will be poised to achieve even greater milestones, he added.
The high mast lamp was installed at a cost of ₹5.91 lakhs, funded through the Minister’s MLA fund. The event was presided over by Jose Joseph Ambalakulam, President of Athirampuzha Grama Panchayat. Other attendees included MGU Vice Chancellor Dr. C.T. Aravindakumar, Syndicate Member Adv. Reji Zachariah, Registrar Dr. K. Jayachandran, Block Panchayat Vice President A.M. Binnu, Block Panchayat Member James Kurian, Grama Panchayat Members Joshy Elanjiyil, Sini George, and Babynas Ajas, as well as representatives from political parties and University employees’ organisations.
