Rhythmic Resonance: Music Seminar at MG University from March 26

The  Inter University Centre for Studies in Science of Music (IUCSSM) at Mahatma Gandhi  University is organising   a  music seminar, on March 26th and 27th. The event will be inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Dr. C.T Aravindakumar.
 
The distinguished speakers scheduled for the seminar include Nadopasana President Thiruvizha Jayashankar, Kaliarangu Secretary M.D. Suresh Babu, University Registrar Dr. K. Jayachandran and Kottayam Unnikrishnan .
 
Kottakkal Madhu’s lecture on music in acting and Ambalapuzha Vijayakumar’s discussion on the importance of Sopana music will offer valuable insights into the intersection of music and performance.
 
 Then, there will be Jugalbandi led by Kottakkal Madhu, Kalanilayam Rajeev and Harirag Nandan from 4.30 pm onwards.  A
 Classical-Ghazal music programme will be led by Rajalakshmi ,Thiruvananthapuram and Nirupama S Chirat on 27th at 10 am. It will be followed by lectures on the idea of musical direction by Jaison J. at 11.45 and Concert on Dharma-Importance of Literature by E.N. Sajith at 2 pm.
 
In the closing ceremony scheduled for 4.p.m, the University Syndicate member Dr. K.M. Sudhakaran, IUCSSM Executive Committee Member Prof. K.S.  Sreelatha, Dean of Science Faculty Dr. Beena Mathew, and Director , College Development Council P.R Biju will participate.
