New Statue of Mahatma Gandhi Unveiled at MGU

 

Commemorating the fortieth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi University, a statue of Mahatma Gandhi was installed in front of the administrative office of the university. The statue was unveiled by the Vice-Chancellor Dr. C.T. Aravindakumar in the presence of syndicate members, staff, and students.

Syndicate member Adv. Job Maichil M.L.A honoured the sculptor Mr. Thomas Joseph, who designed and created the artwork. The seven-feet-high statue, which depicts Gandhi in a walking posture and is made of cement, is placed on a specially built platform.
