MGUIF and Camlin collaborate to produce natural antioxidants

MGU Innovation Foundation (MGUIF) and Camlin Fine Sciences Ltd have entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the pursuit of developing natural antioxidants, aimed at enhancing food preservation. The recent collaboration between MGUIF and Camlin Fine Sciences focuses on implementing spray drying technology for Camlin’s proprietary products.

Currently, this operation is in its pilot phase at MGUIF’s facility and is showcasing the potential for large-scale production in the near future. Dr. Robinet Jacob, Director of MGUIF, confirms that products from the pilot phase are currently being evaluated.While synthetic antioxidants are widely used in the food sector, V.A. Shaju, Technical Head of Natural Antioxidants at Camlin, pointed out that Camlin Fine Sciences prioritises natural antioxidants for improved food safety.
