Dr.Karapet Ter-Zakaryan: general director of Tepofol LLC, Dr. Voskan Melkonyan, commercial director of Tepofol LLC and Ms. Irina Zaretskaia, Translator of Tepofol LLC visited Mahatma Gandhi University as a part of MGU-RUSSIA Industrial collaboration for Green Flame Retardants. TEPOFOL is a well-established Russian company which actively looks for thermal resistant polymer composites having potential roofing and packaging applications.
The Russian team came here on 21st February 2023 for visiting the Mahatma Gandhi University. They visited all the labs come under the MGU. The research students and faculty had a fruitful and enlightening interactive session with the team.Followed by the visit, a presentation on their collaborative project was held at Convergence Academia Complex, MGU. Prof. Karapet gave a detailed view on their company and their project they are dealing with. At the end of the meeting, a valedictory gathering for expressing the gratitude was held in the presence of Prof. Thomas, V C,MGU.
The MGU- RUSSIA project collaboration has been actively continuing for more than one year giving a major focus to the developing of flame retardant sustainable composites with expandable polyethylene. The project also investigates green flame retardants for insulation and packaging. The MGU-RUSSIA collaboration ensures the connection between the two countries. It is sure that the Tepofol, Russia will be a promising collaborator in widening the industrial connections. Moreover, their assistance will be highly beneficial for the research community of Mahatma Gandhi University.The Tepofol, Russia has also the plan of setting a laboratory in India.
