Dr. C.T. Aravidakumar, Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, has spotlighted the University’s commitment to socially relevant subjects in their joint research programmes with M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University. Notably, topics such as climate change and water purification will be accorded prime importance.
Currently visiting Kazakhstan, Dr. Aravidakumar has revealed that proposals for these research programmes can be submitted to Kazakhstan funding agencies.
In the course of his visit, discussions have taken place regarding the initiation of joint degree programmes between Mahatma Gandhi University and M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University. A recent Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing between the two universities marks a strategic move to enhance collaboration across various fields. The Indian Embassy in Kazakhstan has extended an invitation to MG University, encouraging exploration of partnerships with multiple universities in Kazakhstan.
Beyond research endeavours, the collaboration aims to facilitate faculty and student exchange programmes for skill enhancement. Additionally, plans include the establishment of joint research laboratories, hosting seminars, organising international conferences, and fostering collaborative publications.
