Kottayam to Host MGU Arts Festival

Preparations have commenced for the Mahatma Gandhi University Arts Festival 2024, scheduled to take place at nine venues in Kottayam from February 26 to March 3. An organising committee, chaired by Minister for Cooperation and Ports, V.N. Vasavan, with Melbin Joseph as the general convener, has been formed to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the Arts Festival.

The meeting, held at Baselius College Auditorium in Kottayam, was inaugurated by the District Panchayat President, K.V. Bindu. Rahul Mon Rajan, Chairperson of the University Union, presided over the meeting, and Syndicate members Adv. Reji Zachariah, Dr. Biju Thomas, Dr. Biju Pushpan, Dr. K.V Sudhakaran, D.S.S. Director Abraham K. Samuel, and University Union General Secretary Ajin Thomas also participated.

In addition to the Vice-Chairmen and Joint Conveners, the meeting elected a 251-member Executive Committee, which includes the Vice-Chancellor and Syndicate members.
