Mahatma Gandhi University has started the admission process for its pioneering undergraduate honours programmes, set to launch for the first time in the state in the upcoming academic year. Now, candidates can take advantage of the online registration process for single-window admission to the various honours programmes offered at colleges affiliated with the University.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. C.T. Arvindakumar highlighted that the syllabi for each honours programme have been thoughtfully designed to align with the courses offered by some of the top international and national universities. He also expressed his appreciation for the valuable contributions made by expert committees and teachers in developing these syllabi within the required timeframe.
Registration can be done through the portal
https://cap.mgu.ac.in/. This portal provides a streamlined registration process and contains vital information on the colleges offering each programme. Nodal Officers have been appointed in the colleges to coordinate the admission process. Additionally, help desks have been established in every college to provide comprehensive support and assistance. Contact details of nodal officers and help desks are available on the portal.
Since the existing course structure has changed, it is advisable for students to seek the help desks of the colleges for online registration, Dr. Biju Pushpan, the Syndicate Member suggested. He emphasised the importance of attending live events that provide participants with direct interaction, and programmes co-organised by the University and colleges, as they present an invaluable opportunity for students and parents to gain a deeper understanding of the honours degree programmes. For admission to the 5-year integrated post-graduate degree in colleges and the 4 + 1 Honours programme on the University campus, registration is to be done through the portal
