International Confluence on Cultural Diversity at MGU; Students from 31 Countries to participate

Students from 31 countries, studying in various departments of Mahatma Gandhi University and its affiliated colleges, will participate in the International Confluence on Cultural Diversity, which will be held at the University on August 23, 2024. Participants will have the opportunity to present the major art forms of their countries. They may present individually or with support from others, either in person or online. Video presentations of cultural programmes are also permitted.

The Vice Chancellor, Dr. C.T. Aravindakumar, will inaugurate the programme at 9 a.m. at the Convergence Academia Complex on the University campus. Pradeep Kumar, Zonal Director of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), will deliver the keynote address.

Foreign students from MGU and its affiliated colleges can participate in the programme free of charge. Foreign students from other universities in the state, as well as teachers and representatives of NGOs working in the field of international cultural relations, may participate with paid registration.

Dr. Sajimon Abraham, Director of the Centre for International Cooperation at MGU and Coordinator of the programme, stated that the event is designed to follow the cultural exchange programmes of ICCR. Currently, there are 122 students from 31 countries pursuing their studies in the various departments of MGU and its affiliated colleges.
