Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan assumes charge as MGU Registrar

Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan has formally assumed the office of Registrar at Mahatma Gandhi University. With her appointment as Registrar, Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan marks a milestone in MGU’s history as its first woman to be appointed as Registrar .

 

Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan holds multiple roles, including Head of the School of Indian Legal Thought and the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension, as well as Director of Research at MGU. Her academic journey has been marked by numerous distinguished roles at MG University, including serving as a Syndicate Member and Dean, Faculty of Law, at the School of Indian Legal Thought. Her esteemed career has also encompassed positions such as Member of the NUALS Academic Council, Head of the Department of Legal Studies at Kerala University, and a teaching faculty at Kannur University. Additionally,she has been selected for the US Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ International Visitor Leadership Programme.

 

At the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor Dr. C.T.Aravindakumar, Syndicate Member Dr. Joji Alex, former Registrar-in-charge  Dr. K. Jayachandran, Finance Officer Biju Mathew, College Development Council Director Dr. P.R. Biju, Dr. Harilakshmeendra Kumar, and Dr. M.K. Biju extended their warm greetings. University Employees Association President, K.T. Rajesh Kumar also addressed the gathering. Heads of departments, teachers, and other employees participated.
