3D Printing Research Grant

Ms. Blessy Joseph received a Senior Research Fellowship (FRS-DIRECT) from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of the Indian Government.  She was also recently awarded the NIIT Calicut Center Best Paper Award for her research in polymer science and technology. Ms. Blessy has written widely in refereed journals and is currently the editor of several books. Her latest publication includes “Insights into the biomechanical properties of plasma treated 3D printed PCL scaffolds decorated with gold nanoparticles” published in Composite Science and Technology (Elsevier, Impact Factor 7.094). The article details the manufacturing of healing scaffolding from additive manufacturing or 3D printing technique. Plasma-modified scaffolding has shown excellent biological properties and opens new paths in tissue engineering. Dr Blessy has been a visiting scholar at the University of South Brittany in France and the University of Lorraine in France.
