University Honours Researcher for Patent Achievement

Mahatma Gandhi University honoured R. Ratnasree, a researcher at the Inter-University Centre for Studies in Science of Music (IUCSSM), for securing an Indian patent. She was felicitated by Vice Chancellor in charge Dr Beena Mathew and Registrar Dr Bismi Gopalakrishnan during the inaugural session of a music seminar organised by the centre.
 
Ratnasree received the patent for developing an innovative tabla with a fibre case, designed in collaboration with Centre Director Dr K. Jayachandran and Saish Sebastian.
 
The seminar was inaugurated by Dr Beena Mathew. Speakers at the event included Dr K. Jayachandran, Director of the College Development Council Dr P.R. Biju, IUCSSM Executive Committee members Kottayam Unnikrishnan and Dr Sreelatha, Director of the Business Innovation and Incubation Centre Dr E.K. Radhakrishnan, Thiruvizha Jayashankar, Ananthapadmanabhan Thrissur, and Prof. Kadammanitta Vasudevan Pillai.
