Startup Bootcamp Equips Young Founders at MGU

The three-day Startup Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, jointly organised by the MGU Innovation Foundation (MGUIF) and Merstra Foundation, was held at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Supported by RUSA, the initiative aimed to equip student innovators and early-stage founders with practical tools to transform ideas into scalable ventures.
 
Led by Mittu Tigi, CEO of AIC IIIT Kottayam, the bootcamp brought together 30 participants and was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) C.T. Aravindakumar, Vice-Chancellor and Managing Director of MGUIF.
 
Sessions spanned a wide range of topics, including operational excellence, entrepreneurial mindset, design thinking, go-to-market strategies, financial discipline, and investment pitch preparation. Industry experts such as Rahul Raghav, Rasha Kutty, Doulos Jose, and Harikrishnan V guided participants through real-world startup challenges.
 
At the closing ceremony, Dr. Robinet Jacob, Executive Director of MGUIF, emphasised the importance of supporting founders from Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions in building sustainable and impactful businesses.
 
The bootcamp reaffirmed the value of hands-on learning in shaping the next generation of entrepreneurs.
