Mahatma Gandhi University has announced the results of affiliated college PG programs by July 30, becoming the first university in the state this year to achieve this milestone.
This year, 5,979 students appeared for examinations across 84 PG programs. In previous years, results were typically declared only by September or October, causing many students to lose valuable academic time—especially those planning to pursue further studies or research. The timely declaration of results this year was made possible due to the proactive efforts of the Syndicate Sub-Committee overseeing examinations.
The practical and viva voce exams for PG programs were completed by July 18. Evaluation of answer scripts was conducted at nine centers, with the valuation process closely monitored and reviewed daily by Syndicate Sub-Committee Convener Dr. Joji Alex and Controller of Examinations Dr. C.M. Sreejith. The final results were published on July 29.
Students who have qualified for UGC NET-JRF can now join PhD programs within the current academic year. Those seeking admissions to universities outside Kerala can also continue their studies without losing a year.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. C.T. Aravindakumar stated that this accelerated result publication was made possible due to the collective efforts of Syndicate members, teachers, and staff.
This year, MG University had also published the results of the final semester undergraduate examinations on the very next working day after the exams concluded. Similarly, the results of the second semester of the four-year undergraduate programs were announced the day after valuation was completed.
