MG University, Jayaraj Foundation Partner for Environmental Awareness Drive

Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Jayaraj Foundation to jointly promote environmental awareness and biodiversity conservation among students. The MoU was signed by University Registrar Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan and filmmaker Jayaraj, representing the Foundation.

Under the partnership, all NSS units under MGU will take the lead in implementing the Birds-Forest programme, which focuses on campus-based green initiatives.

An international short film festival on environmental themes will also be jointly organised.

In addition, MGU and the Foundation will conduct training programmes, awareness campaigns, and filmmaking workshops, and coordinate events and exhibitions to highlight student contributions.

MGU Vice Chancellor Dr. C.T. Aravindakumar expressed confidence that the initiative would enhance student engagement in environmental protection. Syndicate members Dr. Seno Jose, Dr. T.V. Suja, and NSS Coordinator Dr. E.N. Sivadassan were present at the signing.
