Honours Degree: MG University Pioneers Inter-University Transfer Facility in Kerala

For the first time in Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi University has introduced a provision for inter-university transfer into the third semester of four-year Honours degree programmes. As part of the third major switching phase, students pursuing Honours programmes in other universities or autonomous institutions across the country can now transfer to MG University.

These students will be admitted to the third semester of Honours programmes offered by the university’s affiliated colleges.

Applications for transfers to non-autonomous colleges under MG University must be submitted online via cap.mgu.ac.in by July 19. Transfers to autonomous colleges will be managed directly by the respective institutions.

Under the Honours degree structure, switching is permitted within the same college, between colleges under the same university, and through inter-university transfer.

MG University has already successfully completed the first two switching phases. The newly introduced inter-university transfer marks the third and latest step in the academic mobility initiative.
