The School of Letters at Mahatma Gandhi University is inviting student scholars and academics to submit abstracts for the international conference titled Gendered Spaces: Digressions in Literary Discourses. This conference aims to explore gender representations and their political markers within socio-cultural contexts.
The conference will cover topics including gender and sexual categorisations, social movements and gender politics, gender and language, queer theatre, and the intersection of gender, law, and representation.
Papers in English and Malayalam are encouraged. The deadline for abstract submissions is 12:00 AM, August 7, 2025.
Registration fees are ₹1,500 for teachers/academics, ₹750 for researchers, and ₹300 for students.
