Colloquium on Marginality, Memory, and Resistance Begins on April 1

The K.R. Narayanan Chair for Human Rights and Social Justice at Mahatma Gandhi University is set to host the Colloquium on Marginality, Memory, and Resistance on April 1 and 2 at the School of Social Sciences.
 
The event will open on April 1 at 10 AM with an inaugural address by Vice-Chancellor Dr. C.T. Aravindakumar. Esteemed scholars, including Dr. Sukhadeo Thorat, Professor at the K.R. Narayanan Chair, and renowned social scientist Prof. Satish Deshpande, will deliver keynote lectures.
 
A panel of distinguished speakers, including MGU Registrar Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan, Prof. S. Raju, M. Geethanandan, Kerala Council for Historical Research (KCHR) Director Prof. Dinesan Vadakkiniyil, former Director Prof. P. Sanal Mohan, K.R. Narayanan Chair Coordinator Dr. Rajesh Komath, Dr. Joby Mathew, and Dr. Aparna Eshwaran, will contribute to the discussions.
 
The colloquium will provide a platform for research scholars to present studies exploring the experiences of marginalised communities through historical and social science perspectives. Scholars from MGU and universities across India will take part in the discussions.
 
Adding a cultural dimension to the event, the evening of April 1 will feature a performance of Vasoorimala Theyyam, a ritualistic art form deeply rooted in the traditions of northern Malabar.
