IQAC

In accordance with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council’s (NAAC) National Action Plan, accredited higher educational institutions are required to establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to ensure post-accreditation quality sustenance. The IQAC is an integral part of the institution’s framework and works towards enhancing and sustaining quality.

The IQAC focuses on creating a framework for consistent and catalytic improvements in institutional performance, directing efforts toward academic excellence.

Functions of the IQAC:

Coordinating quality-related activities through systematic documentation and internal communication.
Ensuring the integration of university activities to adopt and disseminate the best practices.
Conducting internal and external Academic Audits of departments to promote quality, accountability and transparency.
Collecting feedback from stakeholders on university processes and policies.
Overseeing curriculum restructuring to align it with contemporary demands.
Preparing the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per NAAC guidelines.
Setting quality parameters for academic and administrative activities.
Fostering a learner-centred educational environment through collaborative teaching and learning.
Coordinating programs to enhance faculty competencies and career prospects.
Organising workshops, seminars and conferences to share knowledge on relevant themes and contemporary issues.
Documenting the progress and activities within the institution.
Establishing data collection procedures to monitor the institution’s functioning and student progress.
Implementing special programmes for both advanced and slow learners.
Ensuring the credibility of evaluation procedures and timely result declaration.
Managing the institutional database with a focus on quality maintenance.
Collaborating with national and international institutions and industries.
Drafting and submitting the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) in accordance with NAAC criteria.
Maintaining an effective feedback system from students, parents and stakeholders regarding the institution’s progress.
The IQAC plays a vital role in ensuring continuous improvement and quality enhancement within the institution while actively engaging with stakeholders to meet the institution’s long-term objectives efficiently.
