Indo-French Workshop on Functional Materials from March 16

The Indo-French Workshop on Functional Materials for Emerging Applications will take place from March 16 to 18, 2025, at Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU). Organised jointly by MGU and the University of Technology of Troyes, France, the event is supported by the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR/CEFIPRA). It aims to foster scientific collaboration and facilitate knowledge exchange between Indian and French researchers in the field of advanced functional materials.
 
The workshop will serve as a platform to discuss recent advancements, challenges, and applications of functional materials in areas such as energy storage, water purification, optoelectronics, and biomedical technologies. Experts, academicians, and industry professionals will participate in plenary sessions, invited talks, and discussions, strengthening international research partnerships.
 
Key speakers include Prof. Isabelle Rouyaud from the Institute of Jean Lamour, France, Prof. Sabu Thomas from Mahatma Gandhi University, Prof. Manoj Neergat from IIT Mumbai, and Dr. M. Shajiunnum from IISER Thiruvananthapuram. The Indian coordinator for the workshop is Prof. Nandakumar Kalarickal from the International and Inter University Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (IIUCNN), MGU, while the French coordinator is Dr. Aurelien Bruyant from the University of Technology of Troyes, France.
