MG University Secures ₹1.09-Crore Indo-Norwegian Research Project

Mahatma Gandhi University has secured a ₹1.09-crore Indo-Norwegian joint research project under the Ministry of Human Resource Development’s Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC).
The project focuses on a ‘One Health Approach’ to assess the risks posed by steroid hormones and their metabolites to aquatic ecosystems, Fauna, and humans. 
 
MG University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. C. T. Aravindakumar will serve as the Principal Investigator of the Indian research team, while Dr. Goutam Chandra, Senior Scientist at the University’s Inter-University Centre for Biomedical Research, Prof.Usha K.Aravind from CUSAT will serve as the Indian Co-Principal Investigators.
 
The foreign research team will be led by Prof. Roland Kallenborn of the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Prof. Arja Rautio of the University of Oulu, Finland will serve as the Foreign Co-Investigator.
