The Minister complemented Mahatma Gandhi University for its performance in Times Higher Education rankings .<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Prof.C.T.Aravindakumar, Vice Chancellor ,welcomed the gathering at the inaugural session. He said that across the world, higher education is at a crossroads due to technological advancements.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Dr. Sharmila Mary Joseph, Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education, presented a report about the achievements during the last nine years.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Later, the plenary session was chaired by Prof.Rajan Gurukkal, vice chairperson, Kerala State Higher Education Council. Prof.N.V.Varghese,Prof.Gangan Prathap,Prof.Saji Gopinath, Prof.Shyam B.Menon were the speakers.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Parallel sessions on eight topics were held at Baselius College and B C M College .<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Panel summary was presented in the afternoon session by the respective chairmen.
