- Dr. K Sabukkutan, Programme Coordinator, NSS, M.G University received Indhira Gandhi National Award for Best Co-Ordinator from the Hon’ble President of India during 2012-2013.
- Dr. Babu Sebastian, Vice Chancellor, M G University received Indhira Gandhi National Award for the Best University from the Hon’ble President of India during 2013-2014.
- Dr. K Sabukkutan, Programme Coordinator, NSS, M G University received Indhira Gandhi National Award For Best Co-ordinator from the Hon’ble President of India during 2013-2014.
- Mahatama Gandhi University is the only university that has been awarded Indhira Gandhi NSS National Award Twice.
